Taking Care of Yourself After a Treatment is so Important...

After you have had a healing session, you may notice different symptoms or sensations. Please know that this is totally normal and completely natural. However, there are some things to keep in mind to help you along your healing journey:

Stay Hydrated

After a healing session, it is essential to drink plenty of water as it plays a vital role in the detoxing process. Hydration helps to flush out toxins released during healing, supports cellular regeneration and maintains optimal energy levels. I would also advise you to avoid caffeine, alcohol, excessive sugar and other dehydrating substances to maximise the benefits of your healing experience. By prioritising hydration, you enhance your body's natural ability to recover and restore balance, ensuring a more effective holistic healing journey.

Be Gentle

After a holistic healing session, it's essential to be gentle with yourself. Allow your body and mind the time they need to process the experience and integrate the healing you've received. Embrace a compassionate approach to your well-being, recognising that the journey of holistic health is not just about the treatments, but also about honouring your feelings and sensations. Give yourself permission to rest, indulge in nurturing activities, and reflect on the insights gained during your session. Remember, self-care is a vital part of the healing process, so treat yourself with the same kindness you would offer to a dear friend.

Listen to Your Body

Learning how to listen to your body is one of the most crucial things you can do, not just after a healing session but in daily life. It's essential to become attuned to the subtle signals your body sends; this includes recognising and acknowledging the feelings and emotions that may arise. After a healing session, take a moment to reflect on how your body feels – do you notice any areas of tension, relaxation, or even emotional release? By embracing these sensations, you cultivate a deeper understanding of your inner self and foster a more holistic approach to health. Listening to your body empowers you to respond to its needs, ensuring you nurture both your physical and emotional well-being in every aspect of your life.

Healing Crisis

Sometimes when we have a healing session, some of the issues and symptoms we had before may worsen. This can leave you feeling out of sorts and perhaps quite low or even scared. Please know that if this happens, it is only temporary and things will get better. It is totally normal to feel worse before you start to feel better, as your body is processing and releasing old energies and toxins. Embrace this healing crisis as a sign that your body is working towards restoration and balance. Remember, you are not alone in this journey; many experience similar reactions during holistic healing. Allow yourself the time and space to heal and trust the process.
